Public Health

The AMA (WA) is passionate about improving the health of Western Australians and actively campaigns on a range of medical issues.

The Association works closely with other key health organisations to fight for better health legislation, more effective public health campaigns and holds State and Federal Governments to account on issues that impact on the health of all Western Australians.

Smoking, alcohol, mental health and obesity have been the focus of the AMA (WA)’s most recent public health efforts.
