The Australian Medical Association (WA) is committed to ensuring Western Australia achieves the greatest possible reduction in the harmful effects of excess alcohol consumption and believes these harms are best reduced through targeted prevention and early intervention, as well as fully resourced best-practice treatment.

The AMA (WA) works with a range of community groups and stakeholders to advocate for the State and local governments to do more to prevent harmful alcohol use through improved education and to further reduce and restrict alcohol marketing and promotion.
