This inaugural award honours a medical practice that exemplifies excellence across clinical care, staff wellbeing, innovation, and community engagement. This award recognises practices that not only uphold the highest standards of medical professionalism but also foster a positive, inclusive, and forward-thinking environment for both patients and staff.
About the Award
Criteria
The recipient will be chosen based on the following criteria:
Clinical Excellence: Demonstrated commitment to delivering safe, evidence-based, and patient-centred care.
Workforce Support: Initiatives that promote staff development, wellbeing, and a healthy workplace culture.
Innovation and Improvement: Adoption of new technologies, models of care, or quality improvement strategies.
Community Engagement: Active involvement in health promotion, outreach, or advocacy benefiting the local community.
How to Enter
Nominations are to be submitted online through the nomination form below.
Nominations should be accompanied with adequate evidence supporting the criteria of clinical excellence, workforce support, innovation and improvement, community engagement, and must be supported by referees who can attest to the practice’s contribution.
Conditions of Entry
- Open to general practices, specialist clinics, or multidisciplinary health centres operating in Western Australia.
- Nominations close 5.30 pm Monday 30 June 2025.
- Winner will be announced on Saturday 9 August at MEDBALL25.
- All nomination information and material remains the property of the AMA (WA) Award Panel.
- All nomination information and material can be utilised by the AMA (WA) to publicly recognise the award recipient and award finalists.
- Information about the award finalists and winner may be published in the AMA (WA) bimonthly journal Medicus and/or Med e-Link and social media.
- The decision of the selection panel is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Practices can self-nominate.
