About the Award

Presented in collaboration with the Medical Students’ Council of WA (MSCWA), the Medical Student of the Year Award celebrates a student who has shown exceptional commitment to leadership, advocacy, and service. It recognises the crucial role medical students play in shaping the future of the profession and includes a grant to support continued contributions to healthcare and community wellbeing.

The Award recognises a medical student [undergraduate/MBBS or postgraduate/MD], who has been outstanding in areas such as:

  • Learning, Teaching, Mentoring and Education;
  • Leadership and Advocacy;
  • Medical Students’ and/or Doctors’ Wellbeing; and
  • Community Service.
