John Newnham is Professor of Obstetrics at The University of Western Australia (UWA) and is a sub-specialist in Maternal Fetal Medicine. He is Head of the UWA School of Women’s and Infants’ Health based at King Edward Memorial Hospital; Deputy Dean of the UWA Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences; and Executive Director of the Women and Infants Research Foundation.

 

His research interests centre on prevention of preterm birth and the developmental origins of health and disease.
