AUSTRALIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION (WA)
The AMA (WA) Doctors in Training Committee has identified the lack of access to flexible working arrangements as one of the key issues affecting junior doctors in WA.
The Committee is aware that a practitioner seeking a part-time position is usually asked to pair themselves up with another junior doctor in order to secure part-time employment in the form of a shared job arrangement.
The Committee has made a decision to develop a Part Time Portal to facilitate this process by providing a space for junior doctors to share information with one another and to search for potential ‘part-time partners’.
Advocacy for greater access to flexible work arrangements for all junior doctors in Western Australia will continue, but in the meantime the Committee hopes that this Portal will assist members in obtaining a position.
If successful in securing a position the AMA (WA) advises that you contact the Industrial Team to discuss or clarify any aspects of your contract that concern you.
Please note that the AMA (WA) cannot assist members with identifying available part-time positions in Western Australia.
This portal is restricted for Doctor in Training Members only.
