Assessment Process

Aged Care and Home and Community Care

Participants are asked to complete an application form, which is then assessed by a workplace assessor. Once your application has been approved, an assessment of your workplace skills and knowledge will follow. A portfolio of evidence will need to be collected, including work samples, certificates and employment experience. Part of the process also involves a peer and self assessment. Participants may be required to undergo additional training if large skill gaps are identified.

Business

Participants will complete a Skills Recognition Guide, and will be assessed by an AMA workplace assessor. A range of workplace assessments will follow, including a peer and self assessment, questioning and discussion and demonstrations. A portfolio of evidence will need to be gathered as part of the evidence process. Participants may be required to undergo additional training if large skill gaps are identified.

Hospital/Health Services Assistance

Participants complete an application form which is assessed by a workplace assessor. Your workplace assessor will then contact you to discuss the assessment process. The assessment will involve an assessment of workplace skills and knowledge, gathering a portfolio of evidence and peer and self assessment. You may be required to undergo additional training if large skill gaps are identified. Training occurs on the job.

Learning Outcomes

Participants who demonstrate the required skills and knowledge will obtain a Statement of Attainment/Record of Achievement and/or a Nationally Recognised Certificate for the relevant qualification.
