CPR

Overview

This course has been specifically designed to meet the needs of industry. The course will ensure participants have a thorough understanding of the use of a defibrillator and related equipment as well as the basic systems of the human body and resuscitation.

Course Content

  • Assessing the situation and responding to the signs of an unconscious casualty
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation following ARC guidelines
  • Defibrillator awareness

Assessment

Students must complete a multiple-choice revision paper, gaining at least 80% competency. In addition, students will also be required to complete a practical scenario displaying the AMA CPR skills they have learnt in a simulated situation.

Learning Outcomes

The learning outcomes of this unit provide the participant with a nationally recongnised Unit of Competency: HLTCPR201A - Perform CPR. Valid for 12 months from date of issue.
