CPR

Overview

This course has been specifically designed to meet the needs of industry. The course will ensure participants have a thorough understanding of the use of a defibrillator and related equipment as well as the basic systems of the human body and resuscitation.

Course Content

  • Assessing the situation
  • Basic Anatomy and Physiology
  • Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
  • Bleeding & Shock
  • Oxygen Therapy awareness
  • Defibrillator

Assessment

Students must complete a multiple-choice revision paper, gaining at least 80% competency. In addition, students will also be required to complete a practical scenario displaying the AMA First Aid skills they have learnt in a simulated situation.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course students will be awarded a partial completion of the AMA First Aid Certificate. (valid for 2 years from date of issue).
