KEMH/PMH and Trust Funds
- To the Premier, Minister for Health, Commissioner of Health
and Metropolitan Health Service Board:
This meeting:
- Totally rejects the generalised, unsubstantiated attacks on
the profession as a whole;
- expresses its concern over the mismanagement of services, inappropriate
use of outside consultants and poorly conceived inquiries rather
than properly managing services; and
- Where appropriate, recommends using the proper authorities
to address concerns with individuals; and
- Considers that approaches to date are further undermining morale,
the attractiveness of the public sector and will increase costs.
Motion carried unanimously
Metropolitan Health Service Board
- That this meeting re-affirms its lack of confidence in the
Metropolitan Health Service Board; and
That in the absence of a change in approach by Government, this
meeting strongly supports the cessation of all pro bono work
from 1 November 2000 by existing clinicians and if necessary
escalation of action in accordance with plans refined in consultation
