Craft Groups

The strength of the AMA (WA) lies in its ability to provide representation to a large and varied membership, throughout the state of Western Australia and on behalf of medical practitioners in diverse craft and specialty groups.

Much of the AMA (WA)'s work is conducted through a system of craft groups and committees. Each committee considers issues which fall within their scope of reference to assist in advising and developing policies and positions for the Council of the AMA (WA). Craft Group committees play a pivotal and vital role in the formation of public health and hospital policy discussions to ensure that the AMA (WA) continues to in a strong position to represent the needs of members and their patients.
