The AMA (WA) Council of General Practice is the medico-political voice of GP members of AMA in WA.
The Council considers issues pertaining to general practice and then reports to whichever Standing Committee of AMA (WA) is appropriate. The Council also assists in the formulation of AMA (WA) policy relating to general practice.

A representative of the AMA (WA) Council of General Practice sits on the Federal AMA Council of General Practice, which defends the interests of GPs nationwide.
