The New Workplace Relations System

AMA (WA) provides hands on assistance to private medical practices

Following the success of the first round of WorkChoices seminars, the AMA (WA) is currently conducting the second series of practical workshops and one-on-one consultations to assist private medical practices comply with the Federal Government 's industrial relations legislative reforms.

The Managing Change workshops, taking place in metropolitan and rural areas, cover a brief overview of the reforms; implications in the private practice environment; skills assessments on negotiation and conflict management; and Model Workplace Agreements.

The AMA (WA) is also providing one-on-one assistance to private medical practices on the implementation of the new Workplace Relations System.

Private practices who participate in the consultations will receive a kit containing easy to read fact sheets on various aspects of the reforms and an Australian Workplace Agreement template to assist in the implementation of the new system.
