The AMA continues to lobby strongly for adequate funding for the increase in the number of medical graduates, to ensure there are sufficiently funded and supported training positions, supervision and access to quality training material.

The AMA is committed to addressing workforce issues in rural and remote areas.

The AMA has recently provided comments to the Productivity Commission on the Impacts of the Implementation of National Registration and Accreditation for the Health Workforce.
